What the UFO Files Really Are: A Biblical Framework for the Greatest Deception of the Last Days
In 2023, a decorated U.S. intelligence official named David Grusch testified under oath before the United States Congress. His claim: the government has been concealing recovered non-human craft and biological specimens for more than seventy years. By 2025, classified UAP files were being released to the public. Allied governments, the United Kingdom, Brazil, France, followed suit. NASA's own UAP study team issued a report that could not rule out non-human intelligence as a factor in the phenomenon. For the first time in living memory, the topic of unidentified aerial phenomena is being discussed in congressional chambers without mockery and on mainstream news channels without apology.
Most people are asking the wrong question. The cultural conversation has been reduced to: Are they real? But that question was settled a long time ago. The phenomenon is real. What it is, its nature, its origin, its agenda, is what remains deeply, dangerously misunderstood. And the church, by and large, has been silent.
That silence is not safe. If you are walking into the greatest deception of the last days without a biblical framework, you are walking in without armor. This article is not a conspiracy theory. It is a theological examination, grounded in Scripture, of what the Word of God says about the unseen realm, the beings that inhabit it, and why the events unfolding right now in the UAP conversation are entirely consistent with biblical prophecy. By the end of this article, you will understand not just what is happening, but why it is happening now, and what God's Word says is coming next.
The Western church has largely inherited a flattened cosmology, a worldview in which reality consists of what can be seen, measured, and verified. Scripture operates from an entirely different assumption. The Apostle Paul, writing to the church at Colossae, states plainly that all things were created "in Christ", including "thrones, dominions, rulers, and authorities" (Colossians 1:15–17). These are not poetic categories. Paul is naming a rank structure. He is describing an organized hierarchy of beings that exist in the unseen realm and operate within it.
In Ephesians 6:12, Paul goes further: "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." The Greek word translated "cosmic powers" is kosmokratoras — world-rulers. Not rulers over individual people, but rulers over the kosmos — the entire ordered system of human civilization. These beings are not passive. They have rank, structure, jurisdiction, and agenda.
The prophet Elisha understood this. When his servant looked out and saw an enemy army surrounding the city, he was terrified. Elisha prayed that the young man's eyes would be opened — and he saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire (2 Kings 6:15–17). The spiritual army was already there. The servant simply could not see it. The Bible does not present the unseen realm as a possibility. It presents it as a populated reality operating in parallel with everything we observe in the natural world. Any biblical engagement with the UAP phenomenon must start here.
When Jesus warned His disciples about the days preceding His return, He made a particular comparison: "As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man" (Matthew 24:37–38). This reference is almost always preached as a commentary on moral decline, people eating, drinking, ignoring God. But that reading is incomplete, and possibly deliberate. Jesus was pointing to something specific.
Genesis 6:1–4 records one of the most contested and deliberately avoided passages in all of Scripture: "When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose." The Hebrew phrase bene Elohim, translated "sons of God", is used throughout the Old Testament poetry exclusively to refer to angelic beings (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7). The Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Hebrew scriptures used throughout the ancient world and the New Testament era, renders the phrase angeloi: angels. The offspring of these unions are called the Nephilim, from the Hebrew naphal — the fallen ones.
The Apostle Jude confirms this interpretation: "And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day" (Jude 1:6–7). Jude specifies that these beings went after heteron sarka — "other" or "different flesh." This was a species boundary violation. When Jesus says that the days of His return will mirror the days of Noah, He is not merely warning about godlessness. He is describing the specific breach of Genesis 6, a transgression across the boundary of flesh, and indicating that it will return.
The Book of Enoch is not Scripture. It does not belong in the biblical canon, and it should not be treated with the same authority as the Word of God. That said, it is Jewish historical commentary of significant weight, found among the Dead Sea Scrolls, widely circulated in the first century, known to every serious Jewish scholar of the Second Temple period. And there is one fact about it that makes it impossible to dismiss: the Apostle Jude quotes it directly.
Jude 1:14–15 reads: "It was also about these that Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, 'Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment on all...'" This is a verbatim citation of 1 Enoch 1:9. When the New Testament quotes a source, it validates that source as historically credible.
The Book of Enoch records that two hundred angelic beings, called the Watchers, descended by covenant under a leader named Semjaza. These beings transferred forbidden knowledge to humanity: weapons of war, astrology, sorcery, enchantments. Azazel, one of the named leaders, is credited specifically with teaching the arts of violence and seduction. After the flood, the text records something critical to understanding the entire spiritual warfare landscape: the disembodied spirits of the dead Nephilim became what the Bible calls demons.
This is the distinction that most teaching on this subject misses. Fallen angels and demons are not the same category of being. Fallen angels retain their full angelic form. Demons, in the Jewish theological tradition that informed the New Testament, are the disembodied spirits of the dead Nephilim, half-human offspring whose bodies were destroyed in the flood but whose spirits have no place of rest. Two ranks. Two functions. Both are operating today.
This is not a framework invented by theologians who are uncomfortable with science. The world's most credentialed researchers on this phenomenon have arrived at conclusions that align, with striking precision, with the biblical categories outlined above.
Jacques Vallée, a French astrophysicist who worked with ARPA and spent decades studying UAP encounters in the field, concluded that the phenomenon is not spacecraft from other planets. It operates through psychological manipulation, routinely violates the known laws of physics, and maps consistently onto ancient mythology describing contact with non-human intelligences. His term for this is the interdimensional hypothesis. The beings, whatever they are, appear to originate outside of, and operate beyond, our physical dimension.
Researcher Chuck Missler documented characteristics of UAP encounters that include instantaneous acceleration without inertia, appearance and disappearance without transition, and physics-violating maneuvers that no material craft could survive. He described these as consistent with beings of "non-baryonic origin" — that is, not made of the ordinary matter that constitutes our physical universe.
Most telling is the pattern of what researchers call "close encounter" experiences. Across cultures, across decades, contact events consistently produce the same messages: We created you. We are your ancestors. We are returning to help humanity evolve. We can save you from yourselves. This is not the profile of interplanetary tourism. This is a coordinated message, delivered through a variety of vehicles, with a consistent theological agenda. The Apostle Paul named this category in the first century: "Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons" (1 Timothy 4:1).
The Book of Second Thessalonians contains one of the most sobering passages in the New Testament. Paul is describing the conditions that will surround the rise of the man of lawlessness — the Antichrist — and he writes: "Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Thessalonians 2:11–12).
The Greek is precise: pseudos — "the lie." Not a lie. The definite article matters. Paul is describing one specific, pre-determined, culminating deception — the singular false narrative of the last days that will cause the mass departure from truth he warned about.
What is the lie? Based on the convergent trajectory of the UAP disclosure narrative, the disclosure documentary ecosystem, and the ancient aliens cultural framework, the lie is already being assembled in plain sight. Its core claims are these: non-human intelligences are our creators; human civilization was seeded by visiting entities; Jesus of Nazareth was not the unique Son of God but one representative of an advanced species; and these beings are now returning to assist humanity through a coming crisis.
This is not speculation. These claims are currently circulating in New Age communities, disclosure activist spaces, popular documentaries, and, increasingly, academic frameworks. The groundwork is being laid right now. And Paul's warning is sobering: the strong delusion is not random. It falls specifically on those "who did not receive the love of the truth." It is the judicial outcome of a choice made before the deception ever arrives.
One of the most sophisticated aspects of this operation, if it can be called that, is its cultural preparation. When government disclosure finally accelerates, the average person in the Western world will already possess an interpretive framework. That framework has been constructed over more than two decades, primarily through entertainment and documentary media.
The History Channel's Ancient Aliens, now in its twentieth season and viewed by hundreds of millions of people globally, proposes systematically that every major ancient civilization, Egypt, Mesopotamia, the Inca, the Maya, was seeded, assisted, or created by visiting non-human intelligences. It presents this not as fringe theory but as a legitimate archaeological alternative. By the time official disclosure happens, the audience is already primed: They built the pyramids. They are our ancestors. They are coming back.
The Bible addresses ancient civilizations' encounters with non-human beings directly. Deuteronomy 32:17 records that Israel's neighbors "sacrificed to demons that were no gods." Ancient cultures did encounter non-human intelligences. But those beings were not creators. They were fallen beings, operating precisely as Enoch described, and as the New Testament confirms, extracting worship, transferring forbidden knowledge, and corrupting the human story. The cultural narrative reverses this entirely and presents them as benefactors.
Understanding this phenomenon matters because it has a specific destination. The narrative of UAP disclosure is not abstract, it is building toward a theological conclusion, and every believer should be able to recognize the four distinct deceptions embedded within it.
The first is the Creator Narrative: the claim that non-human intelligences seeded humanity and are returning. This is not new theology, it is ancient paganism with a scientific vocabulary. Its function is to make the Antichrist system credible by establishing that the God of the Bible is not who He claims to be.
The second is the Evolutionary Upgrade: the suggestion that these beings wish to help humanity "ascend", spiritually, biologically, technologically. This is Gnosticism wearing the language of transhumanism. It is also the same promise made in the Garden: you will be like God.
The third is the False Peace: the claim that these beings can resolve humanity's most pressing crises, climate catastrophe, nuclear war, social fragmentation. The prophet Daniel warned: "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many" (Daniel 8:25 KJV). The being who arrives as the solution to humanity's problems is not the deliverer he presents himself to be.
The fourth, and most direct assault on the Gospel, is the claim that Jesus Was One of Them: that the Incarnation was a visitation by an advanced entity, not the eternal Son of God taking on human flesh for the redemption of humanity. This specific claim is already circulating in New Age and disclosure communities. It is not peripheral. It strikes at the singular, irreplaceable person who is the entire basis of Christian salvation.
The appropriate response to this information is not fear. The Apostle Paul did not instruct the church to fear the principalities and powers — he instructed us to wrestle against them in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–18). Alertness is the posture Scripture calls for, not anxiety.
Practically, this means consuming media in this space with active discernment rather than passive reception. The question to ask of any UAP documentary, any disclosure hearing, any ancient aliens theory is not Is this interesting? but What does this narrative require me to believe about Jesus Christ? Every deception in this space, followed to its conclusion, requires the demotion of Jesus from unique, eternal, incarnate Son of God to one figure among many.
Study the scriptures that address this territory directly: Genesis 6, Daniel 8–12, Matthew 24, Ephesians 6, Jude, 2 Thessalonians 2, and Revelation 12–13. These passages do not address UAP disclosure by name because they do not need to. They describe the spiritual infrastructure, the angelic hierarchy, the Satanic agenda, and the trajectory of last-days deception with more precision than any congressional testimony.
The God who created every visible and invisible thing (Colossians 1:16) is not surprised by any of this. He named it before the curtain was pulled back. He told Daniel what the end would look like. He told Paul what the strong delusion would accomplish. He told John what the beast would do. The disclosure narrative is not outside His sovereign knowledge, it is running precisely on the timeline He foresaw. That is not a reason for passivity. It is a reason for confidence.
Stand firm. Know the Word. Know the enemy. And hold fast to the only name under heaven by which humanity can be saved.
